Measure twice, Cut once Or Not all backstays are created equal

If you are going to switch over to a cascading backstay, be certain to make up a dummy set of controls (blocks, lines, etc.) before you order anything from your rigging supplier. Just use a few old blocks and lines, hang them at the appropriate spots, then mark and measure. Then take them down and re-rig. If they fit, you did it correctly. Now you can order from your rigging supplier.
